This time we took Tiny Wine to the bustling heart of Borough Market to catch up with wine podcaster and palate powerhouse Janina Doyle, host of Eat Sleep Wine Repeat.
On pour: a 2005 Saint-Émilion Grand Cru from the brilliant Nicole Tapon. Classic right-bank Bordeaux, opened that morning and already showing beautifully.
“It’s still so fresh,” Janina said after her first sip. “I like the herbal, crunchy, autumnal leaf edge. A little of the tannin is still there—it’s doing really, really well.”
But we weren’t done yet.
Next up: the exact same wine, but fractionalised six months ago using Coravin’s Vinitas technology. Janina's verdict? “Delicious. Amazing. Hardly any difference.”
If anything, she noted, the Tiny Wine tube was “perhaps like a decanted version” of the bottle. More clarity. More character. “It’s definitely showing well,” she said. “I think it’s showing a little bit more Cab Franc, to be perfectly honest.”
That’s the power of Tiny Wine: same great wine, preserved to perfection, and ready to enjoy at its best—even six months down the line.
Huge thanks to Yenne for tasting with us. And as always, there’s more to come. Stay tuned.
