Tasting Notes

A bright, deeply coloured Barbera with red cherry, plum, soft spice and a gentle earthy edge. The fruit feels vibrant and generous, carried by Barbera’s signature freshness and a smooth, polished texture. There is enough depth here for comfort, but the finish stays lifted, clean and effortlessly drinkable.

About Cossetti

Cossetti is a family-run estate based in Castagnole delle Lanze, with deep roots in Piedmont and a strong focus on Barbera. The Cossetti family has been farming these hills for generations, working with old vines that naturally give concentration without excess weight. Their style favours ripe fruit, fresh acidity and measured oak, allowing Barbera’s natural energy to shine through. Alongside classic Barbera d’Asti, the range includes more structured, ageworthy bottlings that show the grape’s serious side. Cossetti offers a dependable, honest expression of Piedmont, grounded in tradition but tuned to modern tastes.

About Piedmont

Piedmont sits in the northwest of Italy and is known for producing some of the country’s most distinctive and characterful wines. Nebbiolo is the headline act here, forming the backbone of Barolo and Barbaresco wines with firm structure and bright acidity. Barbera and Dolcetto add more easy-going everyday (and great value) options, while the region also produces crisp whites from Arneis and Nascetta, as well as the lightly sparkling, sweet Moscato d’Asti.

Winemaking in Piedmont leans on tradition with a focus on expressing each vineyard site clearly. The result is a region defined by clarity, structure, and a strong sense of place in every style.
