Tenuta San Guido
'Guidalberto' Merlot Blend 2022
Guidalberto is Tenuta San Guido’s Merlot-led counterpoint to Sassicaia. The 2022 combines 60% Merlot with 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, trading some of its famous sibling’s austerity for earlier approachability without abandoning Bolgheri ambition.

Tasting Notes
Dark plum, blackcurrant and Mediterranean herbs combine in a beautifully polished red blend. Rich fruit and subtle savoury notes work in harmony, creating a wine that feels both generous and effortlessly elegant.
About Tenuta San Guido
Born from the aristocratic union of Marchese Mario Incisa della Rocchetta and Clarice della Gherardesca, this legendary 2,500-hectare Maremma estate completely revolutionized Italian viticulture by looking beyond local traditions. Recognizing a striking similarity between Bolgheri’s gravelly soils and Bordeaux's Graves district, the Marchese defiantly planted Cabernet Sauvignon in 1944, creating Sassicaia—the original "Super Tuscan" and the only single wine in Italy eventually honored with its own DOC. Seamlessly managed today by the family's third generation alongside specialized directors, the historic estate relies on meticulous, low-intervention craftsmanship to deliver monumental masterpieces that vibrate with regal cedar elegance, intense cassis complexity, and a breathtaking, world-class structural majesty.
About Tuscany
Tuscany is where Italy’s rolling hills meet Sangiovese, the grape that powers everything from bright cherry-toned Chianti to the deeper, more serious wines of Brunello. The region is a patchwork of historic villages and sun-soaked vineyards, producing reds that balance freshness with a warming Mediterranean richness. Winemakers here mix age-old tradition with a modern touch, giving life to everything from classic Tuscan blends to bold SuperTuscan styles(that use international grapes). With its mix of elegance, power, and unmistakable Italian charm, Tuscany is timeless, romantic and easy to fall in love with.
