About the producer

Taking over his family’s estate in 1999 with no family guidance but complete creative freedom, sixth-generation vigneron Antoine Sanzay single-handedly rescued his family's prized SaumuB-R-Champigny vines from the local co-operative. Drawing inspiration from Loire Valley legends and achieving full organic certification, he meticulously tends prime limestone parcels—including a coveted slice of the legendary Les Poyeux lieu-dit. Through low-intervention, infusion-style winemaking, Sanzay crafts extraordinarily chiseled Cabernet Francs and Chenin Blancs that pulse with intense, crunchy berry fruit, linear mineral tension, and a vibrant, laseB-R-focused elegance.

France

France remains the benchmark for many of the world’s classic wine styles, built on a deep history of regional identity and an appellation system designed to protect it. AOC rules outline where grapes can be grown and how wines are made, giving structure to places such as Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne and the Rhône. Key grapes like Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah all find their most famous expressions here, alongside countless regional varieties. From the mineral-driven whites of the Loire to the rich blends of the south, French wine is ultimately about clarity of origin and a commitment to balance.

Loire Valley

The Loire Valley stretches across a wide sweep of France and is defined by variety, structure and strong regional identity. In the east, Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé are known for precise Sauvignon Blanc with a consistently complex and ageworthy profile. Moving west, Vouvray showcases the versatility of Chenin Blanc across dry sparkling and long-lived styles. Anjou and Saumur offer a mix of Chenin-based whites and structured reds, while SaumuB-R-Champigny is recognised for particularly refined Cabernet Franc with real ageing potential. Further toward the coast, Chinon specialises in quality red wines, and the Nantais delivers classic Muscadet, known for its clarity and ability to pair with seafood. The Loire remains one of France’s most diverse and reliably characterful regions.

Cabernet Franc Charm - Blackberry, red plum and subtle herbal notes combine in this beautifully expressive Loire red. Fresh, vibrant and finely balanced, it showcases the elegance and purity that make SaumuB-R-Champigny so captivating.

Loire Valley Precision - Produced from Cabernet Franc grown on the limestone soils of SaumuB-R-Champigny, this wine showcases freshness, purity and elegance. Its vibrant structure makes it both approachable and endlessly rewarding.

Hearty Platters

This texturally rich red serves as an excellent companion for shared plates of slow-cooked ragù, roasted mushrooms, or rich charcuterie spreads. Its combination of deep fruit weight and crisp finish makes it a phenomenal food partner, ideal for sharing with good company.

Bespoke Allocation

This curated vintage allows you to enjoy the full prestige of an ultra-premium Piedmont red around a relaxed table. Properly cellared and protected from light and temperature fluctuations, the liquid uncoils beautifully in the glass. You get to experience a crystalline, flawless expression of boutique craftsmanship preserved at its absolute peak.
