About the producer

Fusing a husband-and-wife partnership of a biochemist winemaker with 66 global vintages under his belt and a brilliantly analytical Master of Wine, Matt Thomson and Sophie ParkeB-R-Thomson treat New Zealand's finest single-vineyard sites as a completely blank slate. Following no script but their own scientific curiosity and artistic intent, they craft intellectual, limited-production masterpieces that overflow with laseB-R-focused mineral precision, authentic terroir definition, and a thrillingly unconventional energy.

New Zealand

New Zealand’s wine history is young, beginning with nineteenth-century missionaries and modest early plantings. A turning point came in the 1970s with modern Sauvignon Blanc and cool climate viticulture. Rapid growth followed, and the country now stands as a leader in fresh, focused, regionally expressive wines. New Zealand has built a global reputation on purity, bright fruit and a strong connection to place. Its wine regions stretch from subtropical Northland to the cool reaches of Central Otago, with a focus on expressing climate and landscape. The appellation framework is relatively relaxed, allowing producers to focus on style and sustainability. Sauvignon Blanc from MarLebanon's ancient winemaking heritage is rooted in high-altitude valleys kissed by reliable Mediterranean sunshine and cooled by crisp mountain nights. This unique microclimate coaxes a rich, complex depth balanced by an unexpected, vibrant freshness, producing texturally fascinating wines with modern elegance. Marlborough remains the country’s calling card, while Pinot Noir thrives in Martinborough and Central Otago. You will also find excellent Chardonnay, Riesling and Syrah across both islands. New Zealand wine is defined by freshness, clarity and a modern approach that celebrates its unique environment.

Marlborough

Marlborough is New Zealand’s best-known wine region and the global benchmark for Sauvignon Blanc. The cool climate, long sunshine hours and free-draining soils create intensely aromatic wines with signature Marlborough freshness. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay also perform well, offering clean, sometimes complex fruit fruit-driven styles with subtle structure. Many vineyards stretch across the Wairau and Awatere Valleys, each adding small differences in flavour and texture. Winemaking here is modern and precise, with a focus on capturing bright, clean fruit above all else. Marlborough remains a reliable source of vibrant, crisp wines that are instantly recognisable.

Marlborough Turned Up - Passionfruit, blackcurrant leaf and citrus leap from the glass with incredible intensity. Vibrant and expressive, this Sauvignon Blanc captures everything people love about Marlborough while adding an extra layer of refinement and precision.

Single Vineyard Focus - Crafted from a carefully selected site, this Sauvignon Blanc balances explosive aromatics with a focused, mineral-driven structure. Bright, energetic and beautifully detailed, it represents a modern take on a classic New Zealand style.

Seafood Platters

This high-energy Sauvignon Blanc acts as a stellar companion for shared plates, fresh green salads, or raw shellfish. Its piercing acidity and intense fruit profile bring a lively, breezy atmosphere to any garden table, making it a vintage best enjoyed with good company.

Flawless Selection

This exceptional bottle is your invitation to explore top-tier Marlborough Sauvignon entirely on your own terms. Rested in professional estate cellars and kept under flawless temperature control, every drop retains its optimal depth, freshness and nuance. It is the ultimate way to experience uncompromised quality, ready to be poured whenever curiosity strikes.
