Il Borghetto 'Montedesassi' Toscana IGT 2020 (100ml)

Il Borghetto is one of Tuscany’s most exciting boutique wineries, redefining what Sangiovese can be. Nestled in the hills of Chianti Classico, this small, low-intervention estate takes inspiration from Burgundy rather than Bordeaux, crafting ethereal, site-driven wines that speak of place rather than power.

Organic and biodynamic farming is the foundation here, with meticulous vineyard work and minimal intervention in the cellar. Fermentation happens with native yeasts, extraction is gentle, and ageing takes place in a mix of neutral oak and cement, allowing the purity of Sangiovese to shine.

The estate’s lineup includes ‘Bilaccio’, which offers structure but remains elegant, while ‘Montedesassi’ is a single-vineyard bottling that beautifully showcases Il Borghetto’s terroir.
