About the producer

Orma is one of Bolgheri’s most exciting names, a boutique winery proving that this elite Tuscan region isn’t just for the old guard. Founded by Stefano Frascolla - of Tua Rita fame - Orma is all about precision winemaking, focusing on a single, exceptional wine that showcases the region’s power and elegance.

Bolgheri is Tuscany’s answer to Bordeaux, and Orma’s vineyards sit in prime territory, surrounded by icons like Ornellaia and Sassicaia. The estate’s 5.5 hectares are planted with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc, thriving in Bolgheri’s maritime climate and well-drained soils.

Since its first vintage in 2005, Orma has gained serious recognition for its balance of intensity and finesse. With small production and meticulous attention to detail, it’s a label that continues to impress collectors and newcomers alike. If you’re looking for a top-tier Bolgheri wine with a fresh, modern edge, Orma is one to watch.

Italy is a patchwork of regions, grapes and traditions, producing everything from alpine whites in the north to sun-soaked reds in the south. Its appellation system is built around DOC and DOCG which help signpost quality and origin across a landscape that can shift dramatically from one valley to the next. Key grapes such as Sangiovese, Nebbiolo and Barbera sit alongside countless local varieties that shape the identity of each region. Whether it is the structure of Chianti Classico, the perfume of Barolo or the bright coastal styles of Sicily, Italian wine is ultimately about diversity and a strong sense of place.

Tuscany is one of Italy’s most influential wine regions, known for its diverse landscapes and a strong focus on quality. The region’s key grape is Sangiovese, used to produce its three flagship reds: Chianti Classico, Brunello di Montalcino, and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano.

Expect lighter, red-fruited styles in Chianti Classico, while Brunello delivers more structure and ageing potential.

Tuscany isn’t only about tradition. Along the Tyrrhenian coast, areas like Bolgheri have earned global recognition for “Super Tuscan” wines: blends that often include Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and other international grapes. These wines helped modernise the region’s reputation and expand its style beyond Sangiovese.

The region doesn't just produce red wine; you’ll also find Vernaccia di San Gimignano (a crisp, white with heritage status) and small pockets of rosé, Vin Santo, and other experimental styles.

In short, Tuscany combines history, quality winemaking, and a clear identity shaped by its grape varieties and terroir.

It has that effortless Super Tuscan charm: rich enough to feel special, balanced enough to keep reaching for the glass.

Tuscan Shape

From Bolgheri in Tuscany, this Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc blend sits at 14.5% ABV, giving it warmth, structure and proper dinner-table presence. The shape is smooth, rounded and refined, with dark fruit, fine oak polish and a savoury finish that feels beautifully composed.
