About the producer

Sandro de Bruno is a small but ambitious estate based on the slopes of Monte Calvarina in the volcanic heart of Soave. Sandro Tasoniero runs the estate here, championing Garganega grown on ancient basalt soils that naturally bring tension and minerality to his wines.

The philosophy is simple: careful farming, patient élevage and a respect for the slower rhythms of this cooler corner of the region. Alongside Soave, the estate also dabbles in sparkling wine and elegant reds, all made with the same calm, detail-driven approach.

This is one of those under-the-radar producers quietly raising the bar in Soave.

Italy’s winemaking roots run through the ancient Etruscans and Romans, who spread viticulture across the peninsula. Today, it blends deep tradition with forward-thinking producers who champion native grapes and terroir-driven styles.

The country is a patchwork of regions, grapes and traditions, producing everything from alpine whites in the north to sun-soaked reds in the south. Its appellation system is built around DOC and DOCG, which help signpost quality and origin across a landscape that can shift dramatically from one area to the next. Key grapes such as Sangiovese, Nebbiolo, and Barbera sit alongside countless local varieties that shape each region's identity. Whether it is the structure of Chianti Classico and Piedmont, or the bright coastal styles of Sicily, Italian wine is ultimately about diversity and a strong sense of place.

Soave sits in the Veneto region of northeastern Italy and is known for crisp focused white wines made mainly from Garganega. The best examples come from hillside vineyards where volcanic and limestone soils give extra texture and freshness. Styles range from light to more concentrated versions. Winemaking is usually clean and straightforward to preserve clarity and acidity. Soave has steadily built a reputation for reliable, well-defined whites that pair easily with food and offer great value across both everyday and more serious bottlings worthy of some of Italy’s most interesting whites.

Volcanic Gold

A layered Soave Superiore with orange peel, lemon curd, ripe pear, toasted almond and a soft flicker of spice. Made from Garganega, it feels golden and textured, but still crystalline through the finish. The fruit is ripe, the mood is savoury, and the energy stays beautifully lifted.

Soave Tension

From Veneto in northern Italy, this white sits at 13.5% ABV, giving it richness, shape and proper table presence. Volcanic soils bring a taut mineral line, while lees texture adds a silken, lightly creamy middle. It is generous without being heavy, polished without losing freshness.

Risotto Glow

Perfect with seafood risotto, roast chicken, grilled prawns, creamy pasta, aged cheeses or vegetables with butter and herbs. This is the glass for long lunches, warm kitchens and dinners where you want a white wine with depth, texture and a little Italian glow.

Golden Measure

The 100ml format gives you one perfectly measured glass without opening a full bottle. Filled using Coravin Vinitas® technology, each tube is designed to preserve freshness, texture and detail. A smart way to enjoy premium Soave with zero waste and plenty of curiosity.
