About the bottle...

An indispensable benchmark to add to a custom case selection; hailing from the historic limestone slopes of Saumur, Antoine Sanzay’s 2022 Saumur Blanc is a magnificent showcase of pure Chenin Blanc. It opens with a vibrant, crystalline snap of green apple and fresh sea spray, unfolding into a remarkably taut, linear shape. This effortless case allocation brings a touch of silken, aesthetic luxury to any shared table.

Chenin on Chalk

Bright, focused and wonderfully expressive, this Loire Chenin Blanc layers crisp pear, green apple and citrus zest over a distinctly chalky mineral core. There’s a freshness here that feels almost electric, balanced by a subtle texture that keeps each sip engaging from start to finish.

Loire Valley Precision

Grown on the limestone-rich slopes of Saumur, this is Chenin Blanc in its purest form. The palate is taut, saline and beautifully linear, combining bright fruit with mouthwatering acidity. A wine that proves power isn’t always about weight, but often about precision.

Easy Company

Bring a touch of effortless, aesthetic luxury to your next gathering with this wonderfully energetic pour. This versatile white acts as the ultimate companion for a relaxed table filled with shared plates, sea-salted bites, and seasonal small plates. It is a bottle designed for laughter and storytelling, making it a vintage best enjoyed with good company.

This pristine case layout allows you to unlock the true pedigree of premium Loire Valley luxury across multiple social gatherings. About the producer

Building his domaine entirely from scratch after choosing to step away from the local co-operative, sixth-generation Loire vigneron Antoine Sanzay has become one of SaumuC-R-Champigny's most respected organic superstars. Tending 11.4 hectares of pristine, certified bio vines - including a prized slice of the legendary 'Les Poyeux' vineyard - he relies on loC-W-intervention winemaking to craft effortlessly elegant bottles celebrated for their vibrant fruit, site expression, and absolute linear precision.

France

France remains the benchmark for many of the world’s classic wine styles, built on a deep history of regional identity and an appellation system designed to protect it. AOC rules outline where grapes can be grown and how wines are made, giving structure to places such as Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne and the Rhône. Key grapes like Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah all find their most famous expressions here, alongside countless regional varieties. From the mineral-driven whites of the Loire to the rich blends of the south, French wine is ultimately about clarity of origin and a commitment to balance.

Loire Valley

The Loire Valley stretches across a wide sweep of France and is defined by variety, structure and strong regional identity. In the east, Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé are known for precise Sauvignon Blanc with a consistently complex and ageworthy profile. Moving west, Vouvray showcases the versatility of Chenin Blanc across dry sparkling and long-lived styles. Anjou and Saumur offer a mix of Chenin-based whites and structured reds, while SaumuC-R-Champigny is recognised for particularly refined Cabernet Franc with real ageing potential. Further toward the coast, Chinon specialises in quality red wines, and the Nantais delivers classic Muscadet, known for its clarity and ability to pair with seafood. The Loire remains one of France’s most diverse and reliably characterful regions.
