About the producer

Vinos Atlante is a small, thoughtful project in Tenerife, working mainly with old, ungrafted vines perched on the island’s volcanic slopes.

The focus is on Listán Blanco and Listán Negro from high, windswept parcels shaped by the Atlantic and the island’s complex lava-based soils. Farming is careful, often on dramatic terraces, and cellar work is gentle, favouring subtle oak, long fermentations and minimal-intervention winemaking.

The wines are bright, tense and distinctive, carrying a mix of salinity, smoke and mountain freshness that feels unmistakably Canary Islands.

Spain

Spain’s wine history stretches back to Phoenician traders, Roman viticulture and a long monastic tradition. The modern era accelerated after phylloxera pushed French winemakers south, shaping regions like Rioja. Today Spain balances heritage with innovation, reviving old vineyards and native varieties while refining quality across its diverse landscapes.

Spain is one of the most dynamic wine countries in Europe, home to a huge diversity of regions and styles shaped by its varied climate and long winemaking history. You will find fresh Atlantic influenced whites from Rias Baixas and fuller reds from Ribera del Duero and Rioja, where Tempranillo is the headline grape. The appellation system is built around quality tiers such as DO and DOCa which help guide you through everything from crisp Verdejo in Rueda to deep Garnacha from Priorat. Across the country the focus is on expressing place, with modern producers leaning into freshness, balance and regional character.

Tenerife

Tenerife is one of the Canary Islands’ most distinctive wine regions, shaped by volcanic soils, dramatic elevations and a network of historic ungrafted vines. The island’s key varieties include Listán Negro for reds and Listán Blanco for whites, both capable of producing complex and ageworthy styles thanks to the influence of altitude and cooling Atlantic winds.
Vineyards often require detailed manual work and careful parcel selection. Winemaking ranges from traditional to highly experimental, but there is a shared focus on expressing the island’s unique geology.
Tenerife stands out for wines with clarity, tension and strong volcanic character.
