Cullen

The people behind the pour

Cullen

Founded in 1971 by medical and viticultural pioneers Dr. Kevin and Diana Cullen, this iconic Wilyabrup estate is a legendary titan of the Margaret River region. Under the brilliant guidance of second-generation winemaker Vanya Cullen, the estate has spent over two decades at the global forefront of environmental stewardship, achieving full biodynamic certification and carbon-positive status. Tended on ancient, dry-grown soils according to cosmic and planetary rhythms, Cullen’s fruit is vinified with zero additions in the cellar. The resulting flagship masterpieces—most notably the legendary "Diana Madeline" Cabernet blend and "Kevin John" Chardonnay—vibrate with ethereal mineral tension, pristine varietal clarity, and a majestic, world-class structural elegance.

A sense of place

Margaret River, Australia

Explore wines from Australia
Margaret River

Margaret River sits on Australia’s southwest coast and is known for its consistent high-quality wines shaped by a maritime climate. Many reds are made from Cabernet Sauvignon, with structured tannins, a clean herbal edge and plenty of potential to age. Chardonnay is a major strength here, producing styles that balance freshness with subtle oak, smoky reduction and texture that have become not only a regional, but a national hallmark. With its mix of cooling ocean influence varied soils and careful winemaking Margaret River delivers some of Australia’s most polished and reliably balanced wines.

Australia

Australia’s wine story began with colonial plantings in the late eighteenth century and took off through the work of early European settlers. The wine landscape is vast and varied, shaped by a mix of maritime, continental and desert-like influences across its key regions. Its appellation system is built around zones, which focus on geographic origin rather than strict rules on grape or style. Classic varieties such as Shiraz (Syrah), Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay lead the way, with Riesling and Grenache also playing important roles, plus a recent influx of ‘Mediterranean’ grapes are also turning heads. From the bold reds of Barossa to the cool climate elegance of Margaret River and Tasmania, Australia offers a huge spectrum of flavours. The country’s modern approach champions innovation, sustainability and a clear expression of place.
