'Kellerberg S' Grüner Veltliner 2019

Wachau, Austria2019

Grüner Veltliner

Kellerberg is one of the Wachau’s great terraced vineyards, rising steeply behind Dürnstein. Elisabeth Pichler and Erich Krutzler’s 2019 gives Grüner Veltliner the scale and cellar time more commonly associated with the region’s top Rieslings.

What’s in the glass?

White pepper, yellow pear and wild herbs leap from the glass in this distinctive Grüner Veltliner. Layers of fruit, spice and savoury complexity create a wine that feels vibrant, expressive and wonderfully mouthwatering.

Pichler-Krutzler

The people behind the pour

Pichler-Krutzler

Born into separate winemaking dynasties from the Wachau and South-Burgenland, husband-and-wife duo Elisabeth Pichler-Krutzler and Erich Krutzler united their heritages in 2007 to champion Austria's most historic Danube terraces. Eschewing flashy cellar technology to let each sublime terroir speak for itself, they craft unmanipulated, fiercely independent Grüner Veltliners and Rieslings that vibrate with profound soul, intense mineral tension, and a commanding, chiseled character.

From vineyard to glass

A sense of place

Wachau, Austria

Explore wines from Austria
Wachau

Carved by the Danube River, the Wachau is a breathtaking landscape of steep, dry-stone terraced vineyards. The tension between warm eastern winds and cold alpine air creates a unique climate, yielding wines with an incredibly taut, architectural shape, electric acidity, and a brilliant crystalline minerality.

Austria

Austria's cool-climate winemaking is defined by a laser-focused precision and a completely unique, crystalline brilliance. Influenced by the tension between warm Pannonian winds and cool alpine air, the vineyards yield wines of exceptional structural poise, vibrant acidity, and effortless sophistication.

  1. Try the tube

Explore the wine in a 100ml pour, with tasting notes to guide you.

  2. Your credit arrives by email

Each tube earns a separate code for its matching wine.

  3. Enjoy the full-size wine

Apply the code to this wine’s eligible bottle or case within 90 days.

The details, made clear

Each code applies only to the matching eligible bottle or case at its normal price. One code per transaction. Codes cannot be combined with other codes or discounts, or used for tubes or other wines. Valid for 90 days from purchase. Any remaining balance is payable. A tasting kit gives separate credits for its wines, not one combined voucher.
