Small pours. Big discoveries.

Autumn Whites

White wine belongs at the autumn table. Bzikot’s Bourgogne Blanc, Mullineux’s Schist Chenin Blanc and Chapoutier’s Le Méal Blanc bring together Burgundy, the Swartland and the northern Rhône in three 100ml pours. Texture, depth and plenty to explore, whether you’re settling in with roast chicken or comparing what’s in each glass. A chance to find your next special bottle of white as the evenings draw in.

Bourgogne Blanc 20221 × 100ml

Sylvain Bzikot

Bourgogne Blanc 2022

Burgundy, France
Chardonnay

Green apple, lemon peel and delicate white flowers define this beautifully judged Bourgogne Blanc. Pure fruit and lively acidity work together seamlessly,...

More about this wine

Sourced from vineyards just outside Puligny-Montrachet and Meursault, Bzikot’s Bourgogne Blanc carries unusually smart postcodes for its classification. It is the entry point to a 15-hectare family domaine that once sold most of its fruit in bulk.

'Schist' Chenin Blanc 20231 × 100ml

Mullineux

'Schist' Chenin Blanc 2023

Swartland, South Africa
Chenin Blanc

Yellow apple, white peach and a touch of wild honey give this Chenin Blanc immediate appeal. Beneath the fruit lies a distinctive...

More about this wine

Schist comes from Mullineux’s own Roundstone vineyard on the Kasteelberg. Tasted beside the Granite and Iron bottlings, it completes a rare three-part study of how one grape responds to the Swartland’s defining soils.

M. Chapoutier

'Le Méal Blanc' Ermitage 2021

Northern Rhône, France
Marsanne

Layers of apricot, honeysuckle and warm stone unfold beautifully in this remarkable Marsanne. Richly aromatic yet incredibly composed, it delivers impressive depth...

More about this wine

Le Méal Blanc is pure Marsanne from old biodynamic vines on one of Hermitage’s most celebrated south-facing slopes. Chapoutier bottles the parcel alone, allowing a single piece of the hill to speak without support from Roussanne.

Autumn Whites

Chosen by Harry

White wine for the autumn table.

Bzikot’s Bourgogne Blanc, Mullineux’s Schist Chenin and Chapoutier’s Le Méal Blanc show three ways to bring depth to white wine. Compare how Chardonnay, Chenin and Marsanne carry their texture while keeping freshness in the glass. It is a tasting to linger over, particularly with something warm from the oven.

On the table

Roast chicken, squash risotto or a cauliflower gratin gives these whites a place at the centre of an autumn meal.
