Sauvignon Blanc

This mature Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc reveals a side of the variety rarely encountered. Candied citrus, lemongrass and subtle flinty notes replace youthful...

More about this wine

Greywacke held this 2015 Sauvignon Blanc back for an archive release, allowing a familiar Marlborough category to become something far less familiar. It is Kevin Judd’s argument that serious New Zealand Sauvignon deserves time in bottle.

The White Detour

Chosen by Harry

Your usual white can wait.

Ghëddo’s Piedmontese blend starts a tasting that compares Loire and Swartland Chenin, revisits Sauvignon through Greywacke’s archive release, and takes in Grüner Veltliner and Condrieu. Six whites with different grapes, ages and textures. Follow the contrasts and you may find your next favourite somewhere you had not thought to look.
